10.1.9-Lubricating Oil
The normal recommended service interval for an oil change is 8000 hours or 12 months, whichever is
sooner. In adverse operating conditions (high temperatures, high dust levels or the presence of air
pollution) this recommended period can be reduced. Use scheduled oil, sampling to determine when
such changes are necessary
10.2 SCHEDULED MAINTENANCE & SERVICING
Carry out regular servicing as detailed in Maintenance Schedule. Refer to Total Hours run meter (if
fitted) or the compressor service log book to determine next scheduled service. The schedule given is
offered as a guide for the user.
10.2.1
Electric Drive Motor Maintenance
The servicing for the motor consists only of periodic greasing of the bearings and cleaning. The user is
advised to refer to the motor manufacturers servicing recommendations for any details.
Note: Bearings should not be over-greased - do not exceed the manufacturers recommendations.

10.3 MAINTENANCE PROCEDURES
10.3.1 Oil circuit
Change crankcase oil after 50 hours only and thereafter every 8000 hours or 12 months, whichever
is sooner. At these intervals replace the oil filter and clean oil filler chamber. Wash micro filter
element in paraffin and allow to dry thoroughly before re-fitting.
10.3.2 Intake air filter
To clean element STOP compressor. Remove central filter screw in end cover to expose and
remove element. Compressed air can be used to clean element with caution. If the element is dusty
or badly soiled; replace.
10.3.3 Suction and Delivery Valves
WARNING USE CARE WHEN REMOVING VALVE COVERS - ENSURE COMPRESSED AIR IS
NOT TRAPPED.
To remove a valve cover, first slacken off the retaining screws until O seal is released from the valve
port. Remove the screws completely and take off cover.
Remove all valves for inspection after first 2000 hours running. Their condition at this time will be a
guide in determining the intervals for servicing/ inspection.
