4.3.2 Parallel Function (Parallel)

Parallel in the System menu supports Single and Combine modes.
Parallel configuration of 2 or more IT-M3100Ds is not supported.
After parallel combination, it is operated as a single instrument. The initial set-
tings of each function menu and voltage, current and power are based on the
following rules:
knob to change the channel number directly.
Single mode: a single instrument is two-channel independent output.
Combine mode: connect the two channels of a single IT-M3100D in parallel,
the upper limit of the current setting range is twice the rated value of the sin-
gle channel, and the instrument is used as a single channel power supply at
this time.
Config menu: After Combine, the priority, rise/fall time, on/off delay, Sense
switch, and trigger mode in the Config menu refer to the settings of CH1.
After switching back to single, both channels refer to Combine settings.
Voltage/Current/Power setting: After Combine, V-set is the smaller value
of the two-channel voltage. I-set is the sum of the current settings of the two
channels. P-set is twice the power set value of CH1. When switching back to
single, the current and power setting values of the two channels are half of
the corresponding setting of Combine, and the voltage is the corresponding
voltage in Combine mode.
PROTECT menu: After Combine, the default is the parameters of CH1
channel. When switching back to single, the two channels are Combine
parameters.
– OPP: After Combine, the setting value is the sum of the OPP setting values
of the two channels. When switching back to single, it is half of Combine
OPP.
– OCP: After Combine, OCP defaults to the sum of the OCP current settings
of the two channels. When switching back to single, the OCP of the two
channels is half of Combine.
Foldback protection: When the Foldback settings of the two channels are
the same, after combining, the default is the setting of CH1. When the Fold-
back settings of the two channels are different, the Foldback will be turned
