Start and Run Views
You can use Assisted Setup, Create a New Setup, and Load a Setup, along with Advanced
Settings, to manipulate reader settings.
Note: Assisted Setup and Create a New Setup will both default the reader.
Note: Advanced Settings, while in the Start and Run views, allows you to manipulate all reader
settings except the individual Configuration Database index settings. The settings that are shared
between the global and Configuration Database index are ignored by the reader. While in the Setup
view, the reader pauses the Configuration Database, and any changes to the shared settings can be
saved into any of the available Configuration Database indexes.
While in the Start and Run views, you can see which database decoded the symbol:
Setup View
Set the position of the Configuration Database switch to On in the Setup view's Cycle editor to
enable Configuration Database functionality. Configuration Database allows you to add, remove, and
modify specific active indexes from the database.
The Configuration Database editors shown below are only displayed when Configuration Database is
switched to On in the Cycle editor as shown above.
