Example 3 – Using the Configuration Database with UID and Matrix Mode under conditions of widely
varying tray orientation and symbol quality.
Problem:

Read the label on the well plate in either of two orientations.

Read all the codes in the matrix. Do this over 3 images, varying lighting and image enhancements
to make sure all codes are read.

Output the data in the order of well plate label followed by matrix data.
Solution Steps:

Set up Cycle to read 97 codes (96 from the well plate and 1 from the label). Set number of
images to 3.

Insert 1 image.

Insert the first entry and change it to UID 1. Put ROI around label in left hand orientation.

Insert the second entry and change it to UID 1 as well. Put an ROI around the label in the
right-hand orientation.

Insert the third entry and change it to Matrix.

Insert second and third image, insert entry into each, and change it to Matrix.
