2. Remove bolts (5) securing the fan guard halves to
the fan shroud. (fig. 8-2, 8-3)

3. Remove both halves of the guard from the
machine. (LT side shown, fig. 8-4)
Installation
1. To install the fan guard halves, reverse the

removal procedure.

1. Remove the bolts (2) securing the fuel pump/filter
assembly to the radiator support and lay it aside
over the bumper to allow clearance to remove the
shroud and fan. (fig. 8-5)

2. Remove the bolts (6) securing the radiator and
shroud to the radiator support. (fig. 8-6)

3. Push the shroud forward to allow access the fan
mounting bolts. (fig. 8-7)
