Format Drive 0

Before a new disk can be used to save data, it must be initialized (formatted) using this function.
Insert a new or unused diskette in the internal 3.5-inch drive. All data currently on the diskette
will be erased. "Format drive 0. Are you sure?" will be displayed when this function is
initiated. Pressing MENU RUN is a yes response; "formatting..." is displayed. Pressing an
arrow key is a no response, and the format function is not started. The format process takes
about 30 seconds to complete and "formatting...complete" is displayed.

Format Drive 1

This function is used to format a diskette if the Model 512 has an external disk drive connector
and an external disk drive is connected,. The operation of this function is identical to the Format
Drive 0 described above. (The external disk drive connector was available on earlier systems; it
is no longer available.

Print Label Status

This function is used to enable and disable label printing. Refer to Label Printing.

Load Printer Label

This function is used to load or replace a label file in memory. Refer to Label Printing.

Return to Main Menu

Pressing the MENU RUN key for this function returns the display to the Main Menu.
