Model 512 Instruction Manual

FRONT PANEL CONTROLS AND DISPLAY

All modes and functions of the Model 512 are controlled by keys on the front panel. Five modes
are selected by individual keys, and 19 menu modes and functions are selected through Up and
Down keys and executed by the Menu Run Key. See Figure 1, below.
SEQ
BUILD
- Initiates circuit assembly in step-by-step sequence per wire list arrangement
SEQ BUILD
in memory. The assembly sequence is programmed using the Wire List
Editor.
RANDOM
- Initiates circuit assembly in random by displaying circuit information
(termination) as each wire is touched while the wrist strap is attached.
BUILD
Program can be created with the Learn-Known-Good mode or entered using
the Wire List Editor.
ERROR LIST
- Initiates test and produces a printout of errors, or prints "Passed" if no
errors.
- Initiates test and displays errors.
TEST
- Terminates current mode and places Model 512 in "wait" state until next
RESET
mode selection is made.
- Used for stepping up and down through menu to select a mode among the
UP/DOWN
19 available.
ARROWS
- Used to step through file names when loading from disk.
- Initiates the menu mode (selected by Up/Down Arrows) that appears in the
MENU RUN
display.
- Used to load file from disk after the file name is displayed.
