PROCEDURE FOR ALIGNMENT

The ACTAS can be used to align a single projector to a
desired color temperature. No references from other
projectors are required.
Starting from scratch, follow the steps below :
1. Check and modify items
in the 'Set parameters'.
2. Use the 'Select/learn
config' to select first a
configuration block (nr0
to nr19), then execute
the 'Learn Config' com-
mand.
3. Use the 'Select/edit
setup' to select first a
Setup block (nr0 to nr19), then edit the items in the
Setup block as described further in the text.
4. Start adjustment by executing the 'Start adjust' com-
mand.
5. Execute 'Send again' command in case the ACTAS
adjustments can not be placed in the projector's
memory block.
The steps between brackets need not be repeated for
every next single projector to be adjusted, but required
checking. All the menus are explicitly explained in Chap-
ter 2. Please refer to the corresponding sections for
details.
Important :
Adjusting color temperatures must be done
after all other projector adjustments, including
geometry, convergence, G2 level, contrast modu-
lation and so on (Please refer to your projector
manuals).

There are 3 editable items. Most of them are set correctly
by default. Fill in or edit the items as follows :

Start Adjust
By executing the 'Start adjust' command, the adjustment
will be done automatically if the 'Auto' adjustment mode
is chosen. The ACTAS Control unit will display mes-
sages reporting the process or instructions. For error
and warning messages please refer to Chapter 5.
Note : Especially in the manual mode, the measured
light output will fluctuate, but this has no influences on
the adjustment results, unless the magnitude becomes
greater than the equivalent of the desired adjustment
tolerance (expressed in steps) as set under the 'Edit
setup'. For possible causes and remedies, please refer
to 'Trouble shooting' in Chapter 5.
Send Again
This command is only to be used in the rare cases where
the ACTAS adjustments in the previous step were not
carried out on the same projector block as on the one
that is used by the application. If the ACTAS Interface
was chosen to act as the test picture generator, check
if there really is no way to make it imitate the target
source.
