Selecting the projector type
In the "Select setup" menu, press the <AD-
JUST> key to switch from the 'Select setup'
mode to the 'Edit setup' mode.

Press the <ADJUST> key to enter the
edit mode.

Use the '

desired projector name, auto or search.
You have the choices as follows:
search, auto, 1208S, 1609, 1600, 1209,
1208, 1109, 1101, 808S, 808, R801S,
801S, (800), CIO, VIP, D701, V701BR,
V701.

Press the <ENTER> key to save the
changes. A message will be displayed to
report the saving process. If the <EXIT>
key is pressed, the changes will be
discarded. A message will be displayed
to report the reverting process.

Pressing the <ADDRESS> key will start
up the initialization process. The settings
in the currently selected setup block
(e.g.nr2) will be set to the default values
for the selected projector type.
For adjusting a projector automatically (thus
not in the manual mode), the ACTAS needs
to know what adjustments are available
and what their ranges are. Therefore, an
identification of the projector type is re-
quired. This can be done automatically by
defining the type as "Auto" or "Search" . In
case of non-defined projectors the user can
use the above procedure to identify the
projector type with a similar one from the list
of the recognised projector types: 1208S,
1609, 1600, 1209, 1208, 1109, 1101, 808S,
808, R801S, 801S, (800), CIO, VIP, D701,
V701BR, V701.
If "Auto" is chosen as the projector type:
Only items such as "Ref kind", "Adjustment mode"
are available for editing. Other setup items will be
loaded with the default values which are specific for
the projector type that is detected when starting
adjustments.
If "Search" is chosen as the projector type:
Only items such as "Ref kind", "Adjustment mode"
are available for editing. Other setup items will be
loaded with the values in the setup which has a
matching projector type with the one that is detected
when starting adjustments. In other words, this op-
tion scans the available setups, and picks out the first
setup with the matching projector type. If no match
could be found, the ACTAS proceeds as if "Proj type"
was set to "Auto".

In both cases, the user is informed about which setup will
be used for the adjustment.
If the user has special preferences that are not met by
the default setups, a dedicated setup can be created as
follows:
- Enter the select/edit setup menu;
- Select a setup nr which is free or no longer needed(use

to select, then press <ENTER>);
- Edit this setup (press <ADJUST>) to set the "Proj
type" to the desired projector type;
- Fill this setup with defaults applicable for this projector
type (press <ADDRESS>);
- Select and edit the setup items which need special
treatments;
- Save this setup (press <ENTER>).
