Start Adjust
The reference projector does
not need to be adjusted. How-
ever, it can undergo an ad-
justment in order to be
defocused properly.
Take the Sensor off the ref-
erence projector, and install
it onto the next to be adjusted
projector.
Press the 'Start adjust' com-
mand, the ACTAS Control
unit will display message re-
porting the process :
1. The operator is requested
to enter the address of
the projector to be ad-
justed, there are 3 possi-
bilities :

To locate the projec-
tor
automatically,

DRESS> key. This will
arm all projectors,
which means that the
projectors will give
their identity to the
ACTAS when any key
on their local control
(e.g. the keypad or
RCU ) is pressed.

If the proposed ad-
dress is correct, press
the <ENTER> key to

to search the correct
address, then press
the <ENTER> key to
confirm.
2. As soon as the projector address is located, the
automatic adjustment will proceed. 3 bar scales with
the measured values and the cut-off or gain values
will be displayed for monitoring the automatic adjust-
ment process. An automatic adjustment takes about
4 iterations. If the <EXIT> key is pressed, the pro-
cess will be aborted.
3. For projectors with electrostatic focus, if the option
'Defocus' is 'On', a message will prompt for defocus-
ing : turn the focus potentiometer until the bar scale
indicator reaches its minimum value. Then the
'Defocus projector' menu will follow : turn the focus
potentiometer clockwise until the '#' reaches '0'.

4. The end of the adjustment process will be reported

Note :
The method to locate the projector automatically through
the use of the <ADDRESS> key may not yet be
applicable to older projector types.
