You will construct FOUR Loft Joist sub-assemblies.

Glue HHP onto JRA as shown. For best results use an exterior grade wood glue.

Nail HHP onto JRA using six 3" (7,6 cm) nails in the pattern as shown.

Repeat STEPS 3-4 to build THREE additional sub-assemblies.

Take two loft joist sub-assemblies and flip one end to end so they will
produce a 4" x 4" loft joist.

Spread glue on the surfaces which come into contact with one another as shown.
8 Nail the two sub-assemblies together using eleven 3" (7,6 cm) nails in the
pattern as shown.

Repeat STEPS 6-8 to build a second 4" x 4" loft joist.
FINISH
10 You have finished assembling your loft joists.
