G4. Check that there is continuity between the cable harness side switch connector PIN 3
(M/Bi) and VCU PIN C2. If faults are found restore the cable harness. If the checks return
positive results, check on the switch side connector that there is continuity between PIN 1
(G/Ro) and PIN 2 (Gr/N) to the pulled brake lever and infinite resistance with the lever re-
leased. Also check that there is continuity between PIN 3 (M/Bi) and PIN 2 (Gr/N) with the
brake lever released and infinite resistance with the lever pulled. Otherwise, replace the
brake switch.
Recovery
•
constant current on the fork, cruise control does not activate.
Rear brake switch short circuit error C1507
Error cause
•
Short circuit detected on VCU connector PIN E2 or PIN F2.
Troubleshooting
•
Check ground / power insulation on the cable between VCU PIN E2 and the switch connector
output (M/V) and between VCU PIN F2 and the switch connector output (G/M).
•
Disconnect the switch connector and the VCU. Check that the cable harness side switch
connector PIN 1 (G/Vi) is insulated from ground and power and also from connector PIN 3
(M/V). Also check that the connector PIN 3 (M/V) is insulated from ground and power. If
faults are found restore the cable harness. If the checks return positive results, check on the
switch side connector that there is continuity between PIN 1 (G/Vi) and PIN 2 (Gr/N) to the
pulled brake lever and infinite resistance with the lever released. Also check that there is
continuity between PIN 3 (M/V) and PIN 2 (Gr/N) with the brake lever released and infinite
resistance with the lever pulled. Otherwise, replace the brake switch.
Recovery
Cruise Control does not activate
Rear brake switch open circuit error C1508
Error cause
•
Circuit interruption detected.
Troubleshooting
•
Check correct operation of the button contacts in its two positions and the continuity of the
cable between VCU connector PIN E2 and the switch connector output (M/V) and VCU PIN
F2 and the switch connector output (G/Vi). If all the above checks return a positive result
replace the button.
•
Disconnect the switch connector and the VCU. Check that there is continuity between the
cable harness side switch connector PIN 1 (G/Vi) and VCU PIN F2. Check that there is
continuity between the cable harness side switch connector PIN 2 (Gr/Ne) and VCU PIN
