•
If the potentiometer signal is out of threshold check for continuity between motor PIN 3 -
EVC PIN C2 and between motor PIN 2 - EVC PIN A5
•
If time is excessive: carry out the check procedure on the component and the EVC connec-
tor. Disconnect the two connectors and check the continuity of the cable between motor PIN
4 - EVC PIN C1 and between motor PIN 5 - EVC PIN A1. If all the above checks return a
positive result replace the motor.
•
If the search is not carried out, incorrect travel: carry out the acquisition procedure using the
diagnostics instrument.
Exhaust butterfly valve engine P0192
•
open circuit / short circuit to negative / short circuit to positive, short circuit between the two
cables
Error cause
•
If the circuit is open: circuit interruption detected. If shorted to negative: null voltage detected
on PIN A1 or on EVC PIN C1. If shorted to positive, short circuit between the two cables:
excessive voltage detected on PIN A1 or on EVC PIN C1.
Troubleshooting
•
If the circuit is open: carry out the check procedure on the component and the EVC con-
nector. Disconnect the two connectors and check the continuity of the cable between motor
PIN 4 - EVC PIN C1 and between motor PIN 5 - EVC PIN A1. If the cable harness is intact
replace the component.
•
If shorted to negative: disconnect the motor connector and check ground and PIN 4 and 5
insulation: if insulation is not present, restore the cable harness; otherwise replace the com-
ponent.
•
If shorted to positive, short circuit between the two cables: carry out the check procedure on
the component and the EVC connector. disconnect the component connector and check
power and PIN 4 and 5 insulation; also check that the two PINs are insulated from one
another. If all the above checks return a positive result replace the component.

•
short circuit to positive / open circuit, short circuit to negative
Error cause
•
If shorted to positive: excessive voltage has been detected at EVC PIN A5. If the circuit is
open, shorted to negative: null voltage has been detected at EVC PIN A5.
Troubleshooting
•
If shorted to positive: Disconnect the component connector and check power and PIN 2
insulation: if insulation is not present, restore the cable harness; otherwise replace the com-
ponent.
