b Check the CD curve. The noise level can again be
displayed using Curve Fit and Deviation only settings, as
in Fig. 8. A Quadratic curve should make a good fit, but if
it does not in the measured wavelength range, then a
Sellmeier fit can be used. The deviation represents the
noise level and should be within \ 0.07 ps/nm.
