Starting the Engine

Before starting the engine, perform pre-operation check as described in the maintenance table.
1. Sit into the driver's seat and make sure the parking brake is applied.
2. Check that all shift levers and the PTO switch are in the neutral position.
3. Set the throttle lever halfway.
4. Depress the clutch pedal. Safety switch is activated.
5. Insert the key in the ignition switch and turn it to the left to the GLOW position to activate the combustion
chamber heating. Preheating is indicated by the indicator light on the instrument panel.
6. When the indicator light goes out, turn the key to the ON position and make sure that the indicator lights
on the instrument panel are working. Then turn the key to the START position to start the engine.
7. Make sure all warning lights switch off after the engine is started.
Never start the engine by connecting the starter terminals or with the safety switch
deactivated, as the tractor may jump and cause an accident or injury.
Note:
The engine will not start unless the clutch pedal is depressed.
The engine cannot be started unless the operator is sitting in the driver's seat.
Do not turn the key to the start position when the engine is running.
Do not keep the key in the start position for more than 10 seconds.
If the engine does not start within 10 seconds, wait 30 seconds and try to start again.

Stopping the Engine

1. Set the engine to idle speed.
2. Turn the key in the ignition switch to the OFF position.
3. Remove the key from the ignition switch.
Notice:
After prolonged or hard work, let the engine idle for 5-10 minutes before turning it off.
Do not stop the engine at high speed.

Engine Warm-up

After starting the engine, allow it to warm up to operating temperature by letting it idle for 5 to 10 minutes. At
the same time, this provides lubrication for all engine components.
If the engine is loaded immediately after starting, it may be damaged.
