CIRCUIT DESCRIPTION
The speed sensor is located inside the speedometer, and outputs four–pulse signals for each revolu-
tion of the speedometer cable.

SPD signal is not input to the ECU for at
least 8 seconds during high load driving

with engine speed between 2,500 rpm
and 4,500 rpm.
DIAGNOSTIC CHART
Check continuity between terminal SP1
of ECU connector and body ground.
Check No. 1 speed sensor.
Repair or replace No. 1 speed sensor.
