Check ignition coil. (cont'd)
Check voltage between terminal IGT of ignitor connector and
body ground.
Check voltage between terminal IGT of ECU connector and
body ground.
Check harness and connector between ECU and ignitor.
Replace ECU.
ENGINE TROUBLESHOOTING
CHECK SECONDARY COIL RESISTANCE
– Circuiit Inspection
Measure resistance between terminal +B and high
tension terminal of ignition coil.
Secondary coil resistance (cold): 10.2 – 13.8
Replace ignition coil.
(1) Connect ignition coil connector.
(2) Disconnect ignitor connector.
Measure voltage between terminal IGT of ignitor
connector and body ground when engine is
cranked.
Voltage: Approx. 1.0V
(Neither 0V nor 5V)
Replace ignitor.
Measure voltage between terminal IGT of ECU con-
nector and body ground when engine is cranked.
Voltage: Approx. 1.0V
(Neither 0V nor 5V)
Check and repair harness or connector between
ECU and ignitor.
Repair or replace harness or connector.
