Remote Control

Introduction to SIS
The DTP2 211 transmitter and receiver accept SIS commands from a host device such as a
computer running the Extron DataViewer utility or other control system. The host device can
be connected to the Config port on the front panel (see
USB Port
SIS commands consist of strings (one or more characters per command field). Upper
and lower case characters can be used interchangeably. Commands do not require any
special characters to begin or end the command string. Each response from the DTP2 211
transmitter and receiver ends with a carriage return and a line feed (CR/LF =
signals the end of the response character string.
When the transmitter or receiver is first powered on, it sends the message:

Error Messages
E10 — Invalid command
E13 — Invalid parameter
Timeout
Pauses of 10 seconds or longer between command ASCII characters result in a timeout.
The command operation is aborted with no other indication.
