3. POWER TRAIN SYSTEM

Trouble
Engine is running but machine will not
move.
Even at full throttle, machine moves slowly
and lacks power.
Transmission oil overheats.
Abnormal noise is produced.
Brake does not work when the pedal is de-
pressed.
Brake drags or stays when applied.
Brake slips.
Brake does not work properly.
Steering wheel is heavy.
Steering wheel turning by itself.
Slow steering.
Impossible to turn the steering wheel into
neutral position.
Service
• Release the parking brake.
• Put the gear selector lever in the position properly.
• Add oil to the transmission case to the specified level.
• Add oil to the transmission case to the specified level.
• Disassemble the transmission strainer and clean.
• Add oil to the transmission case to the specified level or
drain oil.
• Use a suitable gear speed.
• Reduce time using the torque converter at stall speed.
• Check engine.
• Add oil to the transmission case to the specified level.
• Add oil to the axle case to the specified level.
• Raise hydraulic oil pressure to specified level.
• Add brake oil.
• Bleed hydraulic oil from brake system.
• Clean breather and bleed air from brake system.
• Raise hydraulic oil pressure to the specified level.
• Adjust linkage.
• Clean brake pad.
• Replace spring in hydraulic oil cylinder.
• Adjust or replace the brake pad.
• Repair or replace the pump.
• Repair, clean and reset the relief valve.
• Coat a grease to connections and bearings of steering
gear.
• Check the mounting of the steering column.
• Replace leaf springs.
• Clean spool and sleeve.
• Replace leaf springs.
• Check the monitor.
• Check and repair the wiring.
