(7) Inspect the rubber isolators for cracks.
Replace if cracked or broken.
If the gasket has been removed from
the rocker lever cover, a new gasket
must be used.
(8) If replacing the press-in rocker lever gasket, the
following installation procedure must be used.
•
Press the molded gasket into the corners
of the rocker lever cover.
•
Press the rest of the gasket into the rocker
lever cover.
Engine coolant temperature must be
less than 60 ℃ (140 ℉).
(9) Use the barring tool, to rotate the crankshaft un-
til the number is at TDC.
TDC can be determined by the following meth-
od.
