(6) Apply a light film of lubricating oil to the gasket
sealing surface before installing the filter.
Fill the filter with clean lubricating oil.
(7) Install the filter to the filter head.
Tighten the filter until the gasket contacts the fil-
ter head surface.
Tighten 3/4 to 1 turn after gasket makes contact
with the filter head.
Mechanical over-tightening may distort
the threads or damage the filter element
seal.
(8) Turn the stopper to the close position.
