D Sending a Distress Relay acknowledgment
(For only the USA version)
You can send the Distress Relay acknowledgment only when a Distress Relay call is
received.
1. When a Distress Relay call is received:
• An alarm sounds.
• The screen on the right is displayed.
Alarm OFF
2. Push any
Accept
3. Push .
• The received information is displayed.
ACK
4. Push .
• The call contents screen is displayed.
L Rotate [CH/ENT] to view the call contents.
Call
5. Push to send the Distress Relay
acknowledgment.
• After sending, "Distress Relay ACK" screen is
displayed.
6. Hold down [PTT] to communicate.
7. After you have finished your conversation, push
• "Terminate the procedure. Are you sure?" is
displayed.
8. Push to return to the operating screen.
OK
DIGITAL SELECTIVE CALLING (DSC)
to turn OFF the alarm.
