Process
If the keycode is rejected, either reenter the keycode (it may have been
entered incorrectly), or abort the procedure and reboot the system into
service.
Note: At this point, your system has not been altered because the
operation was stopped when the keycode was rejected.
Using the keycode
The keycode on the keycode label can be used to perform either a software
installation or a comprehensive upgrade, which includes any one or
combination of conversion, feature expansion, hardware modification, and
language expansion. For the procedure on comprehensive upgrade, see
"Meridian Mail Compact Option upgrade" on page
software installation, see
Errors
If an error is made during entry of a keycode, you have two opportunities to
correct it.
1)
If you realize you made a typing error during the entry of a particular
group of four alphanumeric characters, you may simply backspace and
enter the correct characters.
2) If you have already pressed <Return> following the entry of a wrong
group of characters, you can start again after entering the remainder of
the keycode.
