9.3 EIA-485 Connector
To connect a controller, a computer or a bus system over a longer distance, an EIA-
485 interface is provided.
You can either establish a point-to-point connection with a control unit or you can
access several devices via a bus structure.
The IGM11 always operates as slave unit at this bus. This means it will transmit data
only after a request.
9.3.1 EIA-485 Bus Terminal
The bus line must be terminated with a resistance network on both sides.
For this purpose, a resistance of 150
between the data lines RS485P and RS485N.
With the IGM11 the bus terminal resistance can be mounted in the connector casing.
