Gaussmeter IGM11 Operating Instructions
Chapter 9 Serial Interfaces

9.3.3 Operating Mode FLOW

In this operating mode, the current measuring value is transmitted every 100ms. The
measuring value is enclosed within <STX> and <ETX>. The syntax is:
<STX>snnnn.<ETX>
<STX>snnn.n<ETX>
<STX>snn.nn<ETX>
<STX>sn.nnn<ETX>
The date is transmitted with sign, four decimal digits and a point as decimal separator.
An overflow is diplayed as +9999.

Connector Cable EIA-232

For direct connection to a computer, use a null modem cable. In a null modem cable
the data transfer lines TxD and RxD are crossed. The signal ground wire GND is pulled
through.
Handshake lines (DTR/DSR or RTS/CTS) are not used.
Read further details in the instructions of your controller. If necessary, the control lines
(DTR/DSR or RTS/CTS) must be bridged in the connector of the external contoller.
The gaussmeter can be connected to a standard computer with a COM interface.
