5.8 Peak Value Measurement

The device has a fast DC field peak value detection.

5.8.1 Fast Peak Value Detection

The fast detection of the maximum values of DC fields is required for short magnetic
impulses, as they are generated in e.g. magnetizing systems.
In this operating mode you detect peak values of the magnetic field starting with a
duration of 10µs. The display shows the absolute peak value. The top part of the
display shows the actual DC-field measuring value.
You can reset this value via an assigned button in the set-up menu or via an assigned
digital entry in set-up menu.
The following shows the accuracies for the peak value measurement.
Maximum ratings for the fast peak value measurement.
Note
Please notice that in sensitive measuring ranges magnetic AC fields
caused by e.g. transformers or electric lines might produce a
measuring value. Normally, these values would not be noticed during
normal operation, because disturbances with a net frequency of 50
or 60 Hertz are filtered out.
