5.9 Probe Data
For a correct measurement the gaussmeter must always know the necessary probe
data. A connected probe contains a parameter memory which stores the probe
parameters, the serial number and
the name. After changing the
probe or switching on the device
these data are read automatically.
With no probe connected, the
display shows:

At
message will be written in the error queue and the error status will be displayed.
In this case, default calibration values will be used. The measurements are affected
by a higher measurement error. The ensured accuracies cannot be reached any
more.
