Chapter 7 Power Supply Connection

7 Power Supply Connection

Via connector J2 the device is supplied with DC power.
The operating voltage must be between 12 V and 24 V. The power consumption is
200 mA maximum at a voltage of 12 V.
The connector is protected against wrong polarity connection.
In a switch cabinet, the power supply system should be fused.
The common potentials of the input and output signals can easily be connected to
supply voltage via the double connector plug.
Note
The ground connection (GND) of the power supply is galvanically
connected with the measuring probe and the serial interfaces.
Please pay attention that this connector is connected with the earth
conductor inside the switch cabinet. Please also ensure that neither the
power supply nor the measuring probes nor the interface wiring can be
connected with dangerously high voltages.
