9.4.5 The Address Byte (ADR)

The address byte transmits the address number and further control information.
The single bits in the address byte are specified as follows:
The device number will be transmitted in bit 0 to bit 4.
Broadcast (Bit 5): All connected devices are addressed. The telegram must not be
answered.
Mirror telegram (Bit 6): For testing reasons, the addressed device transmits the
telegram unchanged back to the master.
The slave device answers with its own address.

9.4.6 Telegram Exchange

After a starting pause of at least 3 character runtimes, the master transmits its data
telegram starting with STX (0x02h, decimal 2). The addressed device processes the
data and sends back a data telegram.
The content of the reply results from the carried out command. If no user data need
to be sent back, the device replies with the control characters <CR> <LF>.
A mirror telegram will be sent back without any processing.
