Simple Instruction Set Control
Host‑to‑Unit Instructions
SIS commands consist of strings (one or more characters per command field). Upper and
lower case characters can be used interchangeably. Commands do not require any special
characters to begin or end the command string. Each response from the transmitter and
receiver ends with a carriage return and a line feed (CR/LF =
the response character string.
Device‑initiated Power‑up Message
When the transmitter or receiver is first switched on, it sends the message:

Timeout
Pauses of 10 seconds or longer between command ASCII characters result in a timeout.
The command operation is aborted with no other indication.
NOTES:
•
The DTP3 devices are shipped password‑protected. The factory configured
passwords for all accounts on these devices have been set to the device serial
number.
•
In the event of a complete system reset, the password converts to the default,
which is extron. New passwords must be configured to secure the device .
•
