Configuration port — Using a USB cable, plug a PC into the transmitter or receiver via

this front panel USB C connector for firmware updates (see
Panel USB Port
on page 13).
SEND POWER toggle switch — In a DTP3 transmitter to DTP3 receiver configuration,

set the toggle switch to the UP (SEND POWER) position on the powered DTP3 unit to
enable sending remote power to the far end. Set the toggle switch to the DOWN (OFF)
position on the DTP3 unit receiving power (see
configuration).
ATTENTION:
The DTP3 T 202 and DTP3 R 201 devices are configured to output power to
DTP3 models only. If connected to a non‑DTP3 device, set the toggle switch
to the DOWN (OFF) position. Failure to turn the power OFF will damage the
connected device.

HDBT/DTP function switch— If the receiving device is in the Extron DTP series, set this

DTP HDBT switch to the DTP position. For an HDBaseT‑enabled receiver type, set this
switch to the HDBT position. This switch tailors the output signal as follows.
HDBT position — The TP output consists of video with embedded digital audio
plus RS‑232.
DTP position — The TP output consist of video with embedded digital audio, RS‑
232, and remote power.
ATTENTION:
Position this switch BEFORE connecting the appropriate device to the TP
connector. Failure to comply can damage the endpoint.

NOTES:
When the switch is in the HDBT position, the transmitter and receiver each requires
a local 12 VDC power supply.
When the switch is in the DTP position, one 12 VDC power supply, connected to
either the transmitter or the receiver, can power both units.
Status LEDs

Input Signal — Lights when the transmitter is receiving a TMDS clock signal on the
HDMI input, or any valid signal on the receiver DTP3 In connector.
HDCP — Lights when the transmitter is receiving an HDCP‑compliant signal on
the Input connector or the receiver is successfully authenticated to the connected
output device.
