The XTP T HDMI and XTP R HDMI can be configured and controlled using SIS commands
or the XTP System Configuration Software (see
on page 26). This section contains SIS communication details and SIS commands and
responses when connected directly to an XTP T HDMI or XTP R HDMI. Topics in this section

Host Device Connection
Use a connected computer running the Extron DataViewer utility to send and receive SIS
commands and responses. To connect directly to an XTP T HDMI or XTP R HDMI, connect
the computer to the front panel USB configuration port (see
figure
SIS Overview
Host-to-Device and Device-to-Host Communication
SIS commands consist of one or more characters per field. No special characters are
required to begin or end a command sequence. When the XTP T HDMI or XTP R HDMI
determines that a command is valid, it executes the command and sends a response
to the host device. All responses from the transmitter or receiver to the host device end
with a carriage return and a line feed (CR/LF =
character string. A string is one or more characters.
Error Responses
When the XTP T HDMI or XTP R HDMI receives an SIS command and determines that it is
valid, it performs the command and sends the corresponding response to the host device.
If the command is determined invalid or contains invalid parameters, the transmitter or
receiver returns an error response to the host. The error response codes are:
