STARTER PULLEY/ CLUTCH / IGNITION COIL / FLYWHEEL
REASSEMBLY
Clean any dirt, oil, grease, or other foreign material from the
crankshaft taper before installation.
1. Be sure that the woodruff key is set in the key groove properly,
and install the flywheel.
2. Holding the flywheel with a commercially available strap
wrench, tighten the 7 mm flange nut to the specified torque.
TORQUE: 14.7 N•m (10.7 ft•lb)
IGNITION COIL INSPECTION
Primary side resistance
Attach one lead of the tester to the coil's primary lead terminal and
the other tester lead to the iron core, and measure the primary
resistance of the ignition coil.
Primary side resistance
Secondary side resistance
Attach one lead of the tester to the coil's secondary lead terminal
and the other tester lead to the iron core, and measure the
secondary resistance of the ignition coil.
Secondary side resistance
CLUTCH ASSEMBLY INSPECTION
Measure the thickness at the center of the clutch lining.
Standard
2.0 mm (0.08 in)
7-8
0.75 - 0.92 Ω.
6.1 - 9.3 kΩ.
Service limit
1.0 mm (0.04 in)
