1. BLADE CUTTING ATTACHMENT
REMOVAL
1. Move the ignition switch to the STOP position, remove the top cover, and disconnect the spark plug cap from the spark plug
before removing the blade or gear case.
2. Be sure to wear gloves to protect your hands.
3. install the blade cover over the blade during removal or installation.
4. Be sure that the fuel tank cap is tightened securely.
5. Insert the tip of a commercially-available 4 mm hex wrench, or
equivalent, into the gear case hole.
6. Turn the blade until you feel the tool drop into the hole in the
cover plate/spacer A.
7. Hold the hex tool and turn the 10 mm left-hand threaded nut in
the direction of the arrow as shown.
INSTALLATION
1. Install the blade so that the side marked with the arrow faces
the gear case.
2. Be sure the blade is properly positioned over the shoulder of
the cover plate/spacer A.
3. Install spacer B and the cover.
4. Insert the tip of a commercially-available 4 mm hex wrench, or
equivalent, into the gear case hole.
5. Hold the hex tool and tighten the 10 mm left-hand threaded nut
the specified torque.
TORQUE: 20 N•m (2.0 kg•m, 15 ft•lb)
