12. FUEL TANK / FUEL FILTER

Gasoline is highly flammable and explosive.
You can be burned or seriously injured when handling fuel.
• Keep heat, sparks, and flame away.
• Handle fuel only outdoors.
• Wipe up spills immediately.
CLEANING
1. Remove the fuel tank cap and empty the fuel tank into an
approved gasoline container. Use a funnel to avoid spilling
gasoline.
2. Remove the recoil starter.
3. Remove the fuel tank.
4. Remove the fuel filter from the fuel tank.
5. Wash inside the fuel tank with nonflammable solvent to remove
any foreign material and water from the tank.
6. Remove the fuel filter from the fuel tube.
7. Clean the fuel filter with nonflammable solvent. Be careful to
avoid damaging the filter.
8. Replace the filter if it is damaged or excessively dirty.
9. Install the fuel filter in the fuel tube.
10. Install the fuel tube grommet in the fuel tank.
11. Install the fuel tank.
12. Install the recoil starter.
13. COOLING FIN INSPECTION
1. Loosen the 5 mm hex bolt, then remove the top cover.
2. Remove all dirt and debris from the cooling fins.
3. Install the top cover, and tighten the 5 mm hex bolt
