Besam SW300 spring pre-tension

The spring pre-tension is factory set to EN4. The closing torque (spring force) is adjusted by an
hexagon nut placed at the end of the spring. Turning the nut clockwise increases the force. One
turn equals a torque change of approx. 7-9 Nm for PUSH and 4-6 Nm for PULL (approx. 7 turns from
min. to max.).

* Note! Max opening force in escape route is 150 N.
Note! The table above is only for Normal operator (fire door installations). For Inverse doors
(emergency opening function) max. spring pre-tension is 7 mm, and it has to be adjusted at the
installation time so the door opens and closes in a smooth way.
