2.3 Optional system modifications

Default values are appropriate for most configurations, but may be modified for your needs using the
ExpressNAV interface.

Customize the user name, password

It is best practice to change the default user name
and password.

Open a CLI session either using Telnet or the
serial port as shown in
page 27.

Type set Username [user name]

Press Enter.

Type set Password

Customize system configurations

You may change several parameters using the
System Configuration page of the
ExpressNAV interface.

If you are not already in the ExpressNAV
interface, type the IP address of your appliance,
as found in
Use the ExpressNAV interface
page 27, in a standard browser, click Enter
Here and type in your user name and
password.

The Monitor VTL page appears. In the left-
hand menu, click on the Manage button.

In the main splash screen, click on the
FastStream VT menu item.

The user name is case insensitive and

Follow the instructions on the screen to confirm
your old and new password.
The user name and password for all Telnet, FTP
and ATTO FastStream VT browser-based user
interface sessions is changed.

Click on the choices available. A choice may be
greyed out because it is not available based on
a previous choice.
• Appliance name: you may wish to give this
FastStream VT a name which is significant to
you if you are managing several ATTO devices
from a single workstation.

• Fibre Channel data rate and connection mode
for each Fibre Channel port. (Refer to

• Enable or disable hard address assignment

• Change the SCSI ports' bus speed or initiator ID
