FLUSH
Flushes the open file systems to disk.

The FLUSH command allows you to protect cache data by writing it to permanent storage in non-
volatile memory. Note that the HL950 automatically executes this command on a periodic basis and
always before shutting down as a result of the RESET command.

FORMAT
Allows administrators to format the root directory and all subdirectories. Use caution when using this
command as it erases the entire file system (including JOGWARE). However, BOOTROM is not
affected, allowing you to reboot after formatting your device.

FTP
Starts the FTP daemon.

Specifies Binary transfer mode.
Specifies the remote host. The host name can either be in dotted decimal
format, or (if you are running DNS services) in fully qualified domain name
format.
User login name for the FTP server (host) – not necessarily the same as the
HL950 user login name.
User password for the FTP server (host) – not necessarily the same as the
HL950 user password.
(default) Get the file from remote host to the HL950.
Send file from the HL950 to the remote host.
Specifies the file to transfer.
Specifies the destination directory/filename.
