Configure Service

The SERVICE objects are IP utility applications and protocols such as NFS and SNMP that can be
used for supervision and OAM.
In-service supervision is provided for sites that are normally manned by means of alarm LEDs on the
HL950s. SNMP traps can be configured to provide alarms and statistics to local or remote site network
management and surveillance systems.
There are also a number of IP applications (NFS, FTP, TFTP, etc) available for remote management,
for software downloads, and for log file uploads.
Your HL950 also comes with a Configuration CD that you can use (if necessary) to restore your
HL950 to its initial configuration.

Quality of Service Tagging

The HL950 performs QoS tagging, which means that upstream network devices providing QoS
management can be applied to the HL950. Internal QoS management is only provided when
Guarantee of Service is licensed.
