Pin and Signal Assignments

This chapter describes the pin and signal assignments on the HL950 external interfaces.
All connectors on the HL950 are located on the back panel as shown in the example below:

Console Interface

One standard DB9 female connector is used for the console interface. The pin out is similar to the
COM port on a standard PC. The signals are according to the RS-232 standard.

Ethernet Interfaces

Two RJ45 female connectors are used for the Ethernet port 0 and 1 interfaces. Port 0 is the left
connector and port 1 is the right connector.
The connectors each have two built-in LEDs. The left LED (Link) is lit when a link is established and
the right LED (Activity) indicates data traffic.
