on the switch support.

Slide the switch shaft into the shaft
coupling
and tighten the remaining setscrew.

Before sliding
the
switch shaft all the way
in, install the switch coupling on the Band
switch shaft and
tighten
the setscrew.

( ) Slide the switch shaft into the Band switch
through hole
BU. If
the spring clips on the
driver shield do not make contact with the
switch shaft, slide the shaft out and bend the
spring clips down. Replace the switch shaft.

( ) Prethread the indicated hole with

3/8" sheet metal screw.
( ) Install the two spring clips with 3-48 x 1/4"
hardware. Position the clips as shown.
Refer to Pictorial 4-8 and Detail 4-8A for the
following steps:
( ) Install two 6-32 spade bolts on the driver
shield. Use 6-32 x 1/4" hardware. Position
the
offset of the spade bolts as shown.
( ) Install a bottom tube shield with 3-48 x 1/4"
hardware.
