( ) Tape both cable assemblies
together at the
locations
shown in Pictorial
4-3. Position
the cable assemblies
and wires as shown.
Use the tape supplied in the kit.
( ) Connect the free leads
of
the 150
0
resistor
and .005 Mfd disc capacitor
extending from
lug
1
of tube socket V9, to lug 33
of
terminal
board #1 (S-2).
( ) Cut one lead of a 10
KO
(brown-black-
orange) 2 watt resistor
to 3/8'
r.
Connect this
lead to lug 3
of
terminal strip N (S-4). Posi-
tion
the resistor
straight
up as shown.
( ) Connect the prepared
trimmer
capacitor
between lugs 1 (S-I) and 32 (S-2) as shown
in the inset drawing.
( ) Connect the free lead of the parasitic
choke
extending from
lug 2 of tube socket V9,
to lug 16 of terminal
board #1 (8-1).
( ) Connect a .5
mH
choke (#45-30) from the
center
of the large
bare wire connected
between lugs 5 of tube socket V10 and Vl1
(8-1), to lug 4 of terminal
strip R (8-3).
Position
the choke as shown so that it
clears all tube socket lugs.
( ) Prepare
the lugs of the 3-12 pf trimmer
capacitor
by bending the straight
lug as
shown in the inset drawing on Detail 4-3G.
CAUTION: Do not bend the lug with the
Y
formation on one end.
( ) Connect a
3"
large bare wire from lug 3
of tube socket VIO (S-2) to lug 3 of tube
socket VII (8-2). Shape the wire as shown in
the inset drawing.
( ) 22 pf mica capacitor
between lugs
6
(S-2)
and 21 (NS).
( ) 30 J.lH
RF
choke (#45-27) between lugs 2
(S-1) and 17 (8-1).
( ) Connect a 3" large bare wire from lug 5
of tube socket VI0 (8-2) to lug 5
of
tube
socket VII (8-1). 8hape the wire as shown
in the inset drawing.
( ) 47
Kg
(yellow-violet-orange)
resistor
be-
tween lugs 3 (NS) and 18 (8-2).
( ) .2 J.lfd
resin capacitor between lugs 3 (8-2) .
and 6 (N8). Position
the capacitor
under
the terminal
boa-rd.
( ) Connect a 1-1/2" large bare wire from lug
I of tube socket VIO
(8-3)
to lug 4 of tube
socket VII (8-3).
( ) Connect a 750
g
(violet-green-brown)
re-
sistor
from lug I of terminal
strip P
(8-2)
to lug 4 of tube socket VIO (S-3).
( ) 1" bare wire with 5/8" of sleeving between
lugs
32
(NS) and
5
(8-1). Use the hole in the
bottom of lug 5.
( ) 10 Kg
(brown-black-orange)
resistor
be-
tween lugs 4 (8-1) and 19 (8-1).
( ) 100 pf mica capacitor between lugs 20 (8-1)
and 18 (NS).
( ) Connect an
RF
parasitic
choke (#45-43) from
lug
2
of terminal
strip R
(8-2)
to lug
5
of
tube socket VIO (N8).
( ) .2 /lfd resin capacitor
between lugs 8 (8-1)
and 23 (8-1).
Refer to Pictorial
4-3 for the following steps.
( ) Connect a .001 /lfd disc capacitor
from lug
6 of tube socket V9 (NS) to lug 2 of terminal
strip
R
(N8).
( ) 4.7 megohm (yellow-violet-green)
resistor
between lugs 7
(8-1)
and
22
(S-I).
( ) .2 /lfd resin capacitor
between lugs 10 (8-1)
and 25
(8-1).
