( ) Connect the cathode lead of a silicon diode
to lug 4 (NS) and the other lead to lug 5
(8-2) of terminal strip AD.
( ) Connect the cathode lead of a silicon diode
to lug 2 of capacitor AE (8-2) and the other
lead to lug 2 of terminal strip AD (NS).
( ) Connect
the
cathode lead
of a
silicon diode
to lug 2 (8- 3) and the other lead to lug 3
(N8) of terminal strip AD.
( ) Connect a 5-1/2" orange wire from lug 1 of
terminal strip AC (8-4) to lug 1 of capacitor
AE (8-3).
( ) Connect
a
.005 J,Lfd1.4 kv disc capacitor
from lug
2
of AC receptacle
BD (S- 2)
to
solder lug
BE (8-1).
( ) Connect the blue wire from
BO
#10 of the
large cable assembly to lug
2
of terminal
strip
AD (NS).
( ) Connect
a
.005 Mfd 1.4 kv disc capacitor
from lug
1 of
AC receptacle
BD (NS)

( ) Connect the white wire from BO #10 of the
large cable assembly to lug 5 of terminal
strip AD
(NS).
( ) Connect a 3-1/4" red stranded wire from
lug 2 of AC receptacle BD (NS) to lug 5 of
terminal strip

( ) Mount
a
wide-spaced 5-lugterminal strip at
AD on the carrier shield, using 6-32
x
1/4"
hardware. Refer to Pictorial
4- 6
for proper
positioning of the terminal strip.
( ) Install the terminal pin in accessory socket

at 9. Connect the other end of this wire
to lug 1 of AC receptacle
BD (N8).
( ) Refer to Detail 4-60, and mount the ac-
cessory socket at
BG
on the rear apron.
( ) Install a female terminal pin on one end of
a 3" red stranded wire.
( ) Mount the power transformer with #8 lock-
washers and 8-32 nuts. Be careful not to
pinch any wires between the transformer
and the chassis. To help in mounting the
transformer, screw a nut all the
way
down
on each mounting screw and then remove
it. This will clear the excess varnish out
of the screw threads.
( ) Refer to Detail 4-6E, and install a female
terminal pin (#432-73) on the end of the black
wire extending from B0#10. Install this lead
and terminal pin in accessory socket
