( ) Install the ceramic standoff insulators on the
screws of the final tank coil
(#40-548)
as
shown. Do not overtighten the insulators.
( ) Discard the small screw and one of the flat
washers that were supplied with each ce-
ramic standoff insulator.
Refer to Detail 3-3F for the following steps.

the wires

Connect one end of the following lengths of red
stranded wire (heavy insulation) to this 4-section
variable capacitor. Position the wires as shown.
CAUTION: Keep the plates of all variable ca-
pacitors closed at all times to prevent damage
to the capacitor plates.
( ) Bend all eight lugs of the 4-section variable
capacitor (#26-74)
as
shown.
