( ) Connect a .005 Ilfd disc capacitor from lug 1
(BIAS) (NS) to the GND lug (N8) on the LMO.

SHIELD
( ) Connect an RFparasitic choke (#45-53) from •
the anode clip on tube VIO (8-1) to the lower
hole in lug I of choke TB (NS).
( ) Connect an RFparasitic choke (#45-53) from
the anode clip on tube V1I (8-1) to the upper
hole in lug 1 of choke TB (8-3).
NOTE: Refer to inset drawing #1 on Pictorial 4-1
for the next three steps.
CAUTION: When soldering to the anode clips
in
the two following steps, avoid using excessive
solder so the clip will not be soldered to the
tube
caps.
( ) Connect a 9" brown wire from lug 2 (FIL)
of the LMO (NS) to the lug on pilot lamp
socket TR (NS). Position the wire down
against the chassis as shown.

( ) Install an anode clip on the cap of each of
these tubes. Position the clips as shown.
( ) Connect
the
lO-meter final tank coil from
lug 2 of capacitor TD (8-1) to lug 6 of coil
TE '(8-1). Position the coil as shown. It
may be necessary to bend the solder lug on
coil TE straight up.
( ) Locate the 6146 tubes and install them in tube
sockets V10 and V1l.

10-meter final tank coil (#40-549) as shown.
( ) Connect a .005 ].lfd 1.6 KV disc capacitor

to the upper hole in lug 1 of RF choke TB
(NS).
( ) Connect a 7.5 pf mica capacitor from lug 2
of variable capacitor TF (8-1) to lug 3 of
variable capacitor TD (S-1).
