( ) Pass a 1-1 /4" bare wire through lug 2 of
crystal sockets Y9 (S-2), Y10 (8-2), and
Y1l (N8). Be sure the solder lug is soldered
to
the crystal socket lug.
( ) Twist lug 2 of crystal sockets Y9, YIO, and
Y11 as shown.
( ) Connect a ' .02 p,fd disc capacitor between
lugs 1 (8-3) and 2 (8-2) of terminal strip AB.
( ) Connect a 6800

(blue-gray-red) resistor
from lug 1 of terminal strip AB (NS) to
USB on the carrier generator circuit board
(S-1).

( ) Connect a .02

disc capacitor between
lugs 2 (N8) and 3 (S-3) of terminal strip AB.
( ) Refer to Detail 4-5B, and mount a 100 J..Lfd-
40 J.lfd electrolytic capacitor (#25-59) at
AE. Position the capacitor lugs as shown.
Twist the mounting tabs 1 /8 turn.
( ) Connect a 470

(yellow-violet-brown) re-
sistor from lug 3 of terminal strip AB (NS)
to LSB on the carrier generator circuit
board (8-1).
( ) Pass one lead of a 7.5 pf mica capacitor
through lug 1 of crystal socket Y11 (8-2)
to X on the carrier generator circuit board
(8-1). Connect the other lead to lug 2 of
crystal socket Y1l (8-2).
( ) White to lug 4 (NS).
( ) Black to lug 4 (8-4).
( ) Orange to lug 3 (NS).
( ) Red to lug 1 (NS).
