( ) Mount the control at TH with the rebent
control solder lug, control flat washer, and
·a control nut. Position the lugs as shown.
( ) Install the capacitor mounting bracket at TF
on the final amplifier enclosure, using 3-48
x
1/4" hardware.
( ) Install six 6-32 spade bolts on the final
amplifier enclosure, using 6-32 x 1/4" hard-
ware. Position the notch in the spade bolts
as
shown.
( ) Locate a
600
n
control (#10-34) and cut off
the locating tab. Place a control solder lug
over the bushing of this control. Rebend the
solder lug so it touches lug 3 of the control,
as shown by the inset on Detail 3-3K. Cut
the
solder lug off even with lug 3 of the
control.

( ) Sand any paint overspray from
the
bottom
edge of the final amplifier enclosure to
insure good contact with the chassis.
( ) Locate and disassemble the
RF
final ampli-
fier cage by removing the four sheet metal
screws. Retain the screws for use later.
( ) Install a 1-section variable capacitor (#26-
24) on the capacitor mounting bracket, using
a nylon shoulder washer, nylon flat washer,
and the nut supplied with the capacitor. Po-
sition the capacitor lugs as s'hown.
Refer to Detail 3-3K for the following steps.
