Description:
The delay is the time taken for a contaminated product to travel from the detector head to the reject
point, or from the photo eye (PEC) if one is fitted to the system.
Press the [ENTER] key, and then the [ ] or [ ] keys to adjust the reject delay time.
Scope:
The minimum time it takes the system to respond to a contaminant to the time it takes the pack to
travel 122 times the detector coil gap if a PEC is not fitted, or 240 times the pack length if a PEC is
fitted.
Default:
Minimum.
Note:
For vari-speed systems the delay should be set at the fastest line rate to guarantee that the reject
operates quickly enough.
