Description:
The minimum threshold value is the lowest threshold that can be adopted after a calibration cycle. If
the calibration is performed using a single example of the product, the detector may not be able to
determine the product variation that it is likely to see when in production. The minimum threshold
can be set to ensure that an adequate allowance is made for the product variation.
The minimum threshold should be set to a value about 15 - 50% higher than the maximum signal
levels for the product. The larger the amount of product signal variation, the higher the minimum
threshold will need to be set. This will provide a reasonable margin of safety, to prevent false
rejection, without compromising the achievable sensitivity.
Press the [ENTER] key, and then the [ ] and [ ] keys to alter the minimum threshold.
Scope:
10 to max thrsh.
Default:
500.
Notes:
There should be no need to modify the minimum threshold during normal operation: do not adjust the
value unless you are advised to do so by your LOMA Service Engineer.
This menu is only accessible if the Manual Setup menu has been enabled in the User Options menu.
The manual adjustment increment or decrement is in steps of 10 units.
