Operation and Maintenance
Replacing a cordless phone (phone with microSD card)
The special microSD-Card is suited for use with DECT cordless phones Aastra 620d/
622d, Aastra 630d/632d and Aastra 650c. The card saves the subscription data of
the cordless phone on your communications system, and the most important local
device data. This ensures that, in the event of a device defect, normal operations
can resume in the shortest time and without having to log in again, simply by
transferring the card to the replacement device.
Each card (and each cordless phone) has its own worldwide unique serial number
for DECT devices (IPEI: International Portable Equipment Identity) which is used to
subscribe the device to the DECT communication system. When the card is in use,
the data stored on the card is always used.
Notes:
– The microSD-Card can be used only with device hardware 2 or higher
(Aastra 620d, Aastra 630d).
– Use the card only after reading about the description of the card's
functions in this document. Non-observance of this information may
result in logging out devices which are already operational.
– All subscription and device data on the card is encrypted and copy-
protected.
– Do not use the card on other devices (e.g. camera) to make sure the
card is not accidentally reformatted and there is sufficient storage
space available.
– Once it has been deleted or formatted, the card can no longer be used
in your cordless phone.
– Commercially available microSD-cards cannot be used (except for cop-
ying of local device data, see
